suka ayat ‘pembentang kertas kerja’ … jakun… tak biasa guna ayat ni, selalu panggil presenter jek… (huhuhu perasan omputih la konon padahal diri sendiri tak berapa nak putih walau selalu makan tempe 
)
Selama 3 hari, 18 – 20 Feb 2010 telah berlangsung the 2nd International Conference on Engineering and ICT 2010 (ICEI2010… sebut ‘ice’ I) di Holiday Inn Melaka. Saya telah membentangkan satu kerta kerja yang bertajuk ‘Arc Weld Method for Direct Metal Deposition’ pada conference tersebut. Alhamdulillah presentation ok, dapat banyak soalan dari floor. Boleh dikira small practise for viva ler ni.
Some questions from the audiences:
1. Normally modulus elasticity of metal will not be affected by direction of tensile load and heat treatment. Why your result shows there’s different in the E-modulus? (oh i really like this question because it was really BIG CURIOSITY when i got such result during my experiment. even my supervisor couldn’t figure it out. i read and read and read for few weeks until i got the answer!!! i was over the moon when my supervisor said ‘nur, you solve the mystery!’)
2. How can you ensure each layer adhere to each other? Did you find lack of fusion between the layers?
3. How you control the process from formation of porosity?
4. What is the innovation of this process? Doesn’t it just a welding process? (Good question!) – yep, it is just a fusion welding process! thats make it unique when actually you can expand its application.
